The story behind the song
Over the years we have worked intensely with young people and have seen the pressure they feel from a sexually saturated culture to be sexually active at an increasingly younger age.

This song was written after seeing countless young girls feel they had to have sex in order to keep their boyfriend or to be accepted by their peers. In many cases the decision to have sex was made under the influence of drugs or alcohol and became a decision that had lifelong consequences and one they deeply regretted.

The heartbeat of this song is that the youth of today would know their incredible worth and dignity as human beings and know that they are indeed worth more than just one night. It is our hope that the words of this song would give young people permission to wait in a sexually saturated society.
